Fine Art Acrylic/Oil Sketch, "Brit"   (click title above to see the original)  I painted this picture in a loose "sketch" mode, "Brit" probably about 6 or 8 years ago, Spring Hill, Florida... The original painting is now for sale, $900.00 17 x 26 inches. I've always liked to paint portrait-style "people" and groups "ourselves", usually of people I know, and not by commission ... I like impressionist motifs, but prefer my own more modern painting style, often using thin paints to let the underlying light and colors shine through . I am a realist at heart, and enjoy interpreting realistic motifs in color and mood. My style includes traditional methods applied in a casual-realist manner usually a relatively thin underpainting, and using transparent glazes to enrich colors and shadows. Recently I have also been doing some new prints and paintings as mixed-media on paper and as direct original digital images. All images are copyright.
